About Wayne Peterson

Financial Survivalist / Author

Wayne Peterson has been helping family-owned businesses tackle their needs and issues since 1991—providing services that integrate techniques for improving business results with comprehensive financial, estate, risk, and continuity planning for family members.

Wayne brings over 40 years of “hands-on” business management experience -- with large and small companies -- to the unique needs of closely-held businesses, their owners, and families. Prior to entering financial planning in 1987 and founding Family Business Office, Wayne was an ITT executive, managing a $75 million business area.

While managing client wealth for 28 years, he wrote the “Transformation Watch” newsletter and published “But What If I’m Right: Surviving Transformation of the Global Financial System,” which can be purchased at Amazon.

Wayne is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, with a Master’s degree from Southern Methodist University. He served 5 years with the U.S. Marine Corps as a fighter pilot and is the father of 5 daughters. He lives with Diane, his wife of 44 years, in Austin.
